Accessing your records

When personal data about you is registered, you have the right to know what this information is. This is stipulated in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The GDPR contains rules governing the provision of registered personal data to you. This regulation is designed to protect the interests of the consumer (preventing the personal data from falling into unauthorised hands).

If you would like to know what personal data about you is held in the CIS database, you can find out by submitting an access request. You can do this in two ways: via the CIS app, the web form or by post.
