To be eligible to join CIS, an insurance company must operate in the Netherlands and must be licensed under the Financial Supervision Act (Wet op het financieel toezicht, Wft) and registered with the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM). Other requirements apply to insurance companies that operate in the Netherlands but are headquartered elsewhere.
Below is a list of all the insurance companies that are members of CIS. They are listed by the registered name of the organisation to which their Wft permit was issued. This is the name under which the insurance company is registered in the AFM register.
Some members also offer products under a different name. If you can’t find your insurance company on the list, it may be that your insurance policy is marketed under a CIS member’s trading name or label name. In that case we advise you to check the trading name in the AFM register at www.afm.nl to find out which CIS member it belongs to. You can also often find it in your policy terms and conditions or on your insurance company’s website.
